Tell Big Oil: Keep Your Promise on Methane Safety

The Trump administration has unveiled plans to repeal methane standards for the oil and gas industry. This is bad news—methane is a heat-trapping emission many times as potent as carbon dioxide and poses a serious threat to our climate and our health.
ExxonMobil, BP, Chevron, and Shell have pledged to advocate for sound policy and regulations on methane. At the same time, these Big Oil companies are leading and funding the American Petroleum Institute, a major proponent of the methane rule rollback. It’s time to hold fossil fuel companies to their word to fight for safe regulations on methane.
Hold Big Oil companies to their word: urge them to support regulation of harmful methane emissions.
