HILL BRIEFING: Climate Policy on the 5th Anniversary of LAUDATO SI

Webinar sponsored by Catholic Charities, USCCB, Catholic Relief Services, and Climate Solutions Caucus

Thu, Oct 1, 2020 8:15 AM – 9:45 AM CDT

Five years ago, Pope Francis’s LAUDATO SI focused on connecting the care of the natural world with justice for the poorest and most vulnerable people. Today, the Bipartisan U.S. Senate Climate Solutions Caucus acknowledges our climate is changing, human activity is contributing, and Congress must play a central role in developing strategies for mitigation and adaptation. Please join Caucus co-chairs Sens. Coons (D-DE) and Braun (R-IN) and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Catholic Relief Services (CRS), and Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) for an important environmental policy discussion that will reflect on LAUDATO SI and the climate issues our country continues to face.
