WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
FOR THE CARE OF CREATION

All are invited as the Greek Orthodox and Catholic communities of greater Chicagoland to join together for an ecumenical service to give thanks for God’s gift of Creation and to recognize the conservation efforts of His disciples.

His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael Symeonides will preside over this special prayer service with Catholic Bishop Mark Bartosic also present, which will be followed by a lecture from Rev. Fr. William Grogan entitled, “Laudato Si’, Climate Change and Health Care: Through the lens of the encyclical Laudato Si’, how the moral imperative to mitigate climate change is inextricably connected to human dignity and health care.” Fr. Grogan represents the Catholic Archbishop of Chicago.
